Salem Mennonite Church’s 175th Anniversary
From the Radical Reformation, through the Ohio Swiss settlers’ immigration, to modern day, I trace musical influences on Mennonite music from various folk traditions in this show.
The hymn arrangements are done for dulcimer, guitar and vocals, and combine secular songs with religious works of similar influence.
I have performed variations on this set at our Swiss Community Historical Society fall festivals and even as a sermon in a church.
